Resellers: Where to Log in to your Account

In November 2014, Bluehost announced it would no longer accept new shared Reseller hosting signups. As part of that announcement, Bluehost announced a partnership with ResellerClub wherein Bluehost is recommending ResellerClub as the hosting partner of choice for Reseller hosting.

Where the Reseller Logs In

As a reseller, in addition to typical cPanel functionality, you can access Web Host Manager (WHM), which allows you to manage your client's respective cPanels.

To log into your WHM account:

  • Open my.bluehost.com, and log in to your account.
  • Click on the Reseller WHM icon.

Where your resold customer will Log in

The resold customers will only have access to a cPanel. However, the reseller can access each reseller's cPanel by going to either the resold customer's cPanel URL or accessing the cPanel from the reseller WHM.

To access the cPanel by URL:

To access the cPanel from WHM:

  1. Go to Account Information
  2. Click on List Accounts
  3. Click on the blue cP icon next to the primary domain name on the cPanel

Issues Logging in

"You are logged in using the root or reseller password"

If this shows on the main page of cPanel when your client logs in, it means that the client's password is the same as the reseller or root owner's password. Please change your reseller WHM password to a unique password.

If this message only appears when the reseller or root user logs in from WHM (using the blue cP icon in the List Accounts tool), then this message is normal.

If the message only appears in phpMyAdmin, then this is also normal. The reseller or root owner cannot access those specific cPanel tools.

The solution to this issue is to log in to the client's cPanel directly with the actual cPanel username and password if you are the reseller or root user who wants access to those tools.
